"Spanish lessons by telephone with Academia Surpacifico have been absolutely fabulous for me. It's a convenient, low-cost, super-efficient way to study Spanish. No time or money wasted traveling back and forth to a classroom, and very flexible in regard to scheduling. I've even done my calls by cellphone on the road, using a calling card service to lower the cost of the telephone minutes. But it's best when I can do it from home using Skype's free phone service.

I needed practice in conversation to get fluent and comfortable. I had lots of vocabulary and grammar from classes in the US, but I was still anxious and lacking in confidence in conversational situations. After a few months of frequent Spanish conversations on the phone with Surpacifico teachers, I was transformed! Now I feel relaxed and confident when conversing in Spanish.

The teachers are really nice and it's fun talking with them. We laugh a lot and share stories about our families, our work, our childhoods, things happening in the news, the weather -- whatever comes to mind -- all in Spanish. I look forward to every call and find it's an enjoyable social activity that lifts my mood for the rest of the day. At this point, I would be sad to stop the regular phone calls, even if I became perfectly fluent in Spanish, because I would miss chatting with my new friends at Surpacifico!"
